Strategic Pathways Group is comprised of subject matter experts with diverse portfolios of experiences and cultural backgrounds. Each team member, in their respective fields, has dedicated their careers building bridges between diverse communities, promoting understanding, and, most importantly, advising decision-makers on the comprehensive benefits of advancing an inclusive agenda.
Tracey A. Edwards
As the Region President of Operations for Verizon, Ms. Edwards led a team of 4,000 employees responsible for field operations of voice, broadband, and video services in various geographic areas throughout New York State. As leader of the Northwest region, Tracey was accountable for a 220+ million-dollar budget, delivering revenue, superior customer service, and overall area profitability. Tracey and her great team achieved the best customer service results in the country and best finance results in the state. Prior to her operational role, Tracey was Vice President of Staffing and Diversity where she led a team of diversity consultants corporatewide. Tracey’s responsibilities included recruitment, staffing, human resource policies, ethics, testing, employee resource groups and diversity councils. After retiring from Verizon in 2016, she was Councilwoman for the Town of Huntington as well as a Board Member of Elwood School District. Since 2008, Ms. Edwards has been the Long Island Regional Director of the NAACP. Previously appointed as a Commissioner on the New York State Public Service Commission, Tracey Edwards played a crucial role in shaping policies and regulations to ensure the efficient delivery of essential utility services to New Yorkers. She served in this capacity until September of 2023 when she transitioned to become the Chair of the Board of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), where she currently serves.
Kimberly Jean-Pierre
Kimberly started her political career in 2007 working on various campaigns throughout Suffolk County from local to federal races. She has a long record of public service in the Long Island region, working as an aide to both Suffolk County Legislator DuWayne Gregory and former Congressman Steve Israel, as well as Vice President of Properties at the Town of Babylon Industrial Development Agency. Prior to being elected to the New York State Assembly in 2014, she was the Director of the Town of Babylon’s Wyandanch Resource Center working to connect resources to the community. She as also demonstrated a commitment to various groups and causes. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Incorporated., Rho Omega Zeta Chapter; a member of National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Suffolk County Chapter; Links Incorporated; and a member of the National Organization of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Central Long Island Branch. She is especially involved in the Haitian-American community and is the former Vice-President of Haitian Americans United for Change Inc., (HAUC), a community grass-roots organization. She is the daughter of parents who migrated from Haiti to the United States. She attended Medgar Evers College and earned her Associates Degree in English; and Brooklyn College earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in 2005. She obtained her master’s degree at Stony Brook University, earning a Master of Science in Public Policy in 2007.
